# Introduction

Verify individuals and businesses, prevent fraud and stay compliant, all from one platform.

Fraudcheck brings together accredited identity, credit, AML and business data sources so you can confirm who you are dealing with at onboarding, and keep confirming it for as long as the relationship lasts. Every check is available on its own, or combined into digital onboarding journeys and automated workflows. We help businesses make trust decisions while preventing fraud and financial crime and staying compliant.

## What we cover

**Products** are the checks: each returns information about a person or a business.

* [Verification](/product/products/verification.md): confirm that an identity, document, address, bank account, qualification or business is real, and who it belongs to.
* [Screening](/product/products/screening.md): screen a person or business against criminal, watchlist, credit risk, fraud-listing and self-exclusion sources.
* [Monitoring](/product/products/monitoring.md): re-screen on an ongoing basis, not just at onboarding. Coming soon.

[**Platform**](/product/platform/platform.md) capabilities collect, sequence, decide on and investigate checks. They return no data of their own.

[**Administration**](/product/administration/administration.md) covers who can log in, what they can do, who pays, and finding your way around the portal.

## Who we serve

### Know your customer (KYC)

Verify a new customer at onboarding and screen them against watchlists, so you meet FICA and AML obligations before an account is opened or a transaction goes through.

### Know your employee (KYE)

Screen candidates and staff for hiring and high-trust roles, for example with identity verification, criminal record checks and qualification checks.

### Know your business (KYB)

Confirm the business you are dealing with (its registration, ownership and standing) before you establish a relationship, onboard a supplier or approve a merchant.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.fraudcheck.co.za/product/overview/readme.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
